Cherry Blossom Petal Drop

Leaf Drop Project

One of the first animated pieces that I completed as an animator at KSU! Honestly, Toon Boom Harmony was pretty intimidating but my professor really broke it down in a way that made sense (shout out to Chris Malone)!

Created with Toon Boom Harmony & Adobe Photoshop

I was still fairly new to digital art when I made this piece but I had a lot of fun testing out different texture brushes when creating the background (in Adobe Photoshop). I also feel like studying the motion of how something so light moves with wind was really beneficial to helping me understand weight distribution in animation.

Cat Walk Cycle

Stylized Walk Cycle Project

This was the first time that I had attempted a quadruped walk cycle and I'm really proud of how it turned out! I had my parents film a video of my sister's cat (Oreo, who stayed with them while she was in school) walking from this angle and send it to me as a reference. Oreo's unintentionally become my muse as of late and he's the sweetest.

Created with Toon Boom Harmony

At this point in my career I was pretty familiar with Harmony as a software so I mainly focused on studying the movement of the cat's legs as he moved.
